AwardsCynthia Carlin Named as one of Northeast Ohio’s 500 Most Influential WomenCynthia Carlin, president of Carlin Communications, last year was named to Northern Ohio Live’s list of "Northeast Ohio’s Most Influential Women." The June 2005 edition of Northern Ohio Live included this list as a way to recognize women in the region who, "have set the standards of professionalism, excellence and achievement." The monthly magazine adds, "They vividly symbolize the accomplishments of women in northeast Ohio. They are the Live 500."Northern Ohio Live began its search for candidates by developing a list of criteria that a woman had to meet. This criteria included proprietorship of a successful small business or enterprise, significant community activism, demonstrated success in senior corporate management or a proven track record of improving the area’s economy and standard of living. After scouring the region, Northern Ohio Live narrowed the number of candidates until the magazine felt it had a list that exemplified, "a fantastic representation of the female talent northeast Ohio has to offer." Carlin joins such influential women as City of Cleveland Mayor Jane Campbell and President and CEO of University Hospitals of Cleveland and University Hospitals Health System, Farah M. Walters on this prestigious list.
